Bird silhouette, Scandinavian restraint

Energy efficient LED, runs cool

Light aimed down at the table

The Magpie Pendant Light is a Scandinavian pendant light built around one idea: quiet detail that earns its place. It brings shape and warmth to a dining room without shouting for attention. Clean lines and honest materials do the work, so it reads as considered rather than fussy. It is the kind of piece you stop noticing in the best way, because it simply fits. Wipe it down with a soft, dry cloth now and then and it will hold its finish for years.

Construction is where pendant lights often disappoint, and this one does not. Materials are chosen for how they wear rather than how they photograph, and the finish is even from edge to edge. Key details include energy-efficient LED. Everything is assembled to a spec we would accept in our own homes, then packed to survive the journey to yours.

At home it works hardest in the dining room, though it moves happily to a kitchen island when the space changes around it. Pair it with warm textiles and open shelving for a softer look, or keep the surrounding palette tight for something sharper. Halden designs for rooms that get lived in, not photographed once and forgotten.

A shape worth hanging low

The magpie silhouette gives a dining room a focal point that is not just another glass dome. Scandinavian lines keep it from being cute.

Efficient light, cool to sit under

The LED costs almost nothing over a long dinner and never heats the space above the table. Leave it on for the whole evening.

Dining table or kitchen island

Hung at the right height it lights the food and frames the room. Halden designs for rooms that get lived in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the bird shape playful or serious?

Serious. The silhouette is pared right back in the Scandinavian way, so it reads as a graphic shape rather than a character.

Where should it hang?

Over a dining table or a kitchen island, low enough to light the surface and high enough to see across.

Is it expensive to run?

No. It uses an energy efficient LED, so a full evening of use barely registers.

Will it work in a plain kitchen?

That is where it works best. A flat, simple kitchen gives the silhouette room to be the one thing you look at.

How do I clean it?

Wipe it with a soft dry cloth when dust settles and avoid abrasive cleaners.
