Bamboo and rattan, woven by hand

Throws patterned light on the ceiling

Natural texture in a plain room

The Natural Bamboo Pendant Lamp is a modern pendant light built around one idea: quiet detail that earns its place. Finished in natural bamboo, it brings shape and warmth to a dining room without shouting for attention. Clean lines and honest materials do the work, so it reads as considered rather than fussy. It is the kind of piece you stop noticing in the best way, because it simply fits. Neutral tones and restrained detailing mean it keeps working as a room evolves around it.

Construction is where pendant lights often disappoint, and this one does not. Natural bamboo, handwoven rattan are used where they matter, joined and finished so edges stay true and surfaces stay flat. The detailing is deliberately restrained, with nothing added that does not earn it. Everything is assembled to a spec we would accept in our own homes, then packed to survive the journey to yours.

At home it works hardest in the dining room, though it moves happily to a kitchen island when the space changes around it. Pair it with warm textiles and open shelving for a softer look, or keep the surrounding palette tight for something sharper. Halden designs for rooms that get lived in, not photographed once and forgotten.

The weave makes the light

Light escaping through handwoven bamboo throws a pattern across the ceiling that no moulded shade can reproduce. That is the reason to hang one.

Natural material, real variation

Bamboo and rattan are worked by hand, so the weave shifts slightly from piece to piece. Yours is not a copy of the photograph.

Over a table or an island

It brings warmth to a kitchen full of hard surfaces. Halden designs for rooms that get lived in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the weave do to the light?

It breaks it into a pattern across the ceiling and walls, which is what makes a woven shade worth choosing over a solid one.

Is it really handwoven?

Yes, in bamboo and rattan, which is why the weave varies slightly between pieces.

Is the light bright enough for a table?

It gives a warm working light onto the table plus the pattern around it, which suits dinner more than paperwork.

Will it suit a modern kitchen?

Natural texture is usually what a flat modern kitchen is missing, so it reads as a deliberate warm contrast.

How do I clean it?

Dust it gently with a soft brush or cloth, and keep abrasive cleaners away from the weave.
