Wood and metal, warm plus solid

Reading light without a bedside lamp

Powder coated finish resists marks

The Wood & Metal Wall Lamp is a Scandinavian wall light built around one idea: quiet detail that earns its place. Finished in natural wood, it brings shape and warmth to a bedroom without shouting for attention. The silhouette borrows from modern design, with clean lines, honest materials and nothing decorative that is not also useful. It is the kind of piece you stop noticing in the best way, because it simply fits. Wipe it down with a soft, dry cloth now and then and it will hold its finish for years.

Construction is where wall lights often disappoint, and this one does not. Natural wood, powder-coated metal are used where they matter, joined and finished so edges stay true and surfaces stay flat. The detailing is deliberately restrained, with nothing added that does not earn it. Everything is assembled to a spec we would accept in our own homes, then packed to survive the journey to yours.

At home it works hardest in the bedroom, though it moves happily to a bedside table when the space changes around it. Pair it with warm textiles and open shelving for a softer look, or keep the surrounding palette tight for something sharper. Halden designs for rooms that get lived in, not photographed once and forgotten.

Two materials doing two jobs

Wood brings the warmth, metal brings the structure. Together they give a bedside light that looks made rather than manufactured.

Reading, without losing the table

Mounted on the wall it puts light over the page and keeps the bedside surface for a book, a glass and a phone.

Built for a bedroom

The proportions are sized for beside a bed rather than scaled down from a living room fitting. Halden designs for rooms that get lived in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is it made of?

Natural wood and powder coated metal. The wood keeps it warm, the metal keeps it rigid, and the coating resists marks.

Is it bright enough to read by?

Yes, it puts usable light over the page rather than washing the whole room, which is what you want at bedtime.

Why not just use a table lamp?

Because the table is usually the thing you are short of. Wall mounting gives you the light and the surface both.

Will it suit a living room too?

It does. Beside a reading chair it does exactly the same job it does beside a bed.

How do I clean it?

Soft dry cloth over the wood and metal, no abrasive cleaners.
